Why should I register as a Republican?

Whether we as citizens like it or not, our country has a party system.

As such, it is essential to read the party platforms for each party and decide which one you agree with the most. Belonging to a party creates a team of participants who generally agree and work together for common goals.

As Republicans, our common goals are to maintain and sustain the values and traditions that created the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, which the Idaho Constitution supports.

Registering as a Republican allows the voter to vote in the May primary and select candidates that align most with those values we hold dear. Canyon County Republicans, and District 13, which is part of the Canyon County Republicans, have worked hard to vet, recommend, and labor for candidates that will vote according to the Idaho Republican Party Platform.

We also hold those who do not vote according to the Idaho Republican Party Platform is accountable through censorship and by withholding support.
